Curatorial Text – by Ana Laura Valazza
Guillermo Llacay brings an exquisite selection of his work that conveys his diverse facets: the meticulous seeker, selector, and interpreter of images in his subtle collages; the painter of strong planes and superimposed geometries with architectural imprint and vibrant expressiveness; the alchemist, craftsman, builder, and programmer of evolving realities; the mischievous sailor who veers from a jarring turn onto whispered, synesthetic harmonies that captivate us. And it is then that the artist immerses us in shapes that dance within us and quantum fluctuations of undefined definitions. But, Guillermo is not playing with us: through his language, symbolism, and cadence, amiable and smiling, he is opening a door for us to join his pictorial game, in a plaza filled with light.
